Answer:
Karp no longer manufactures curved access doors.

Does Karp have a 1-hour fire-rated ceiling access door with a drywall face? Are the RDW models rated for 1-hour ceilings?

Answer:
No, Karp does not make a fire-rated access door with a drywall face. There is no fire rating for the RDW.

What are the different installation instructions for Karp's various Fire Rated Access Doors?

Answer:
Installation instructions differ for each fire rated door depending on model of door and to what type of material door is being installed in. These instuctions can be obtained by contacting our Customer Service Department.

No, mortise prep cannot added to a stock finished product. The mortise prep must be manufactured as a special.

Yes! However, in order to be price effective, a minimum quantity of 250 pieces are required. The exact up-charge would depend on quantity, color and size of door.

The HA is available in 6"x9", 8"x8", 14"x14", and 22"x22" sizes.

Answer:
All doors in the HA line are both hinged and removable.

Does the KATR have a UL or Warnock Hersey Label for installation in a fire rated wall or ceiling?

Answer:
No it does not. The KATR (recessed 1-1/2") was designed to provide access in a suspended ceiling. The 1-1/2" recess permits the door to be filled with same material as surrounding ceiling permitting continuation of the existing ceiling membrane.

Can or should a KDW door be installed in a masonry wall?

Answer:
No! The KDW Has a textured drywall bead designed to receive drywall cement to conceal the trim completely. This door is only used in drywall applications.

Can the KRP-250FR be used in a ceiling application?

Answer:
No, the non-insulated KRP-250 door can only used in a wall application. The KRP-150FR, Karp's insulated fire rated access door, can be used in either a ceiling or wall application.

Yes, the MX exterior access door is made to withstand years of outside weather. The door is manufactured in galvanized steel with an insulated fully gasketed door.
