No it does not. The KATR (recessed 1-1/2") was designed to provide access in a suspended ceiling. The 1-1/2" recess permits the door to be filled with same material as surrounding ceiling permitting continuation of the existing ceiling membrane.

Yes, the MX exterior access door is made to withstand years of outside weather. The door is manufactured in galvanized steel with an insulated fully gasketed door.
